We’ve realised many of you are keen to get into the kitchen, roll up your sleeves and learn our secrets. So we’ve decided to run some hands on cookery classes in a truly unique and intimate location in The Cookhouse in the heart of Borough Market.
Chef and founder of Arabica, James Walters and his Executive Chef, David Jones will be hosting monthly Levantine inspired cookery classes in The Cookhouse, which is an open plan kitchen with a dining space that boasts impressive views out onto the Borough Market.
The first class will be Saturday the 6th May. The classes will continue throughout the summer, each with a slightly different Middle Eastern theme.
Priced at £115 pounds per person, each hands-on cookery class will start with warm pastries and Turkish coffee at Arabica Bar & Kitchen. Followed by a whistle stop tour of the market, where Chef & Founder, James Walters his and Executive Chef, David Jones will pick up some seasonal produce from a handful of their favourite stalls to be incorporated into the cooking session. Then its off to The Cookhouse which overlooks the buzzing Market, where you will produce an array of seasonal meze dishes featuring some of Arabica’s larder essentials like Wild Sumac, Tahini, Shade dried limes and Za’atar.
The day concludes with an informal meal, enjoying the food you’ve cooked, served with Lebanese wine, baklawa pastries and fresh mint tea.
